Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what we collect when you apply to or participate in the Bookbolt Creators Program, how we use it, and the choices you have. We try to keep this plain and honest.

1. Information we collect

• Application info: name, email, country, primary platform, audience size, content links, and the track you applied to.
• Account info: login credentials, profile details, and program preferences once you're approved.
• Payment info: payout method (Wise / PayPal / bank), tax forms (W-9 or W-8BEN), and payout history.
• Submission data: the videos, posts, and links you submit, plus the publicly available metrics we pull from their host platforms.
• Usage data: standard logs (IP address, browser, pages visited) when you use the dashboard.

2. How we use it

• To review applications and run the Program.
• To calculate bounties, commissions, and payouts, and to issue tax forms where required.
• To verify submissions and prevent fraud or fake views.
• To send you transactional emails (approvals, payouts, replies).
• To send occasional program updates. You can opt out at any time from the link in the footer of those emails.

3. How we share it

We only share information with:

• Service providers we need to run the program — payment processors (Wise, PayPal), email delivery (Resend), hosting and database (Lovable Cloud / Supabase), and analytics.
• Authorities when required by law (subpoenas, court orders, tax reporting).
• An acquirer if Bookbolt is acquired or merged; the policy will continue to apply.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. How long we keep it

Application data is kept for up to 24 months. Active account data is kept while your account is open. Tax and payment records are kept for 7 years to meet legal requirements. You can request deletion at any time (subject to those legal holds).

5. Your rights

Depending on where you live (GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to object to certain uses. Email privacy@bookbolt.io and we'll respond within 30 days.

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and a small number of analytics cookies to understand how the site is used. You can block cookies in your browser; some features may stop working if you do.

7. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards (encryption in transit, role-based access, audit logging). No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data, we'll notify you as required by law.

8. Children

The Program is not for anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has signed up, email us and we'll remove the account.

9. International transfers

We're based in the United States and process data there. If you're outside the US, your data will be transferred to and processed in the US under appropriate safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses).

10. Changes

We'll post material updates here with a new "Last updated" date and email active participants when changes are significant.
